Enhanced Tapped Density Workflows with q-doc®
Tapped Density is a valuable tool for evaluating powder quality, as well as flowability & compressibility. The new q-doc® process driver offers enhanced reproducibility & paperless documentation of test results, ensuring reliability & data integrity.
Tapped density is a physical property of powders and it can be used to monitor their quality to optimize the formulation of tablets and capsules. The primary purpose of this q-doc® process driver is to guide the operator through the various steps of the tapped density measurement procedure.
What is a q-doc® process driver?
A process driver controls and automates a specific process rather than controlling an instrument. The operator is guided through a manual process with step-by-step instructions ensuring that proper procedure is followed.
The process driver is device-independent, i.e. works with all brands of Tapped Density tester. Additional features include:
-
intermediate volume recording
-
automatic calculation of density and Hausner ratio
-
automatic evaluation of whether further tapping cycles are required to achieve the required volume change
